Finland Mayday Freeski Celebration
Every year Jussi Saarinen organizes this freeski spring event called Mayday at the end of April. It is the biggest and most liked freeski event in Finland. It`s main idea is to gather all the finnish freeskiers and their friends in to a one place to end their seasons. It`s all about shreddin unique built features and big party!
It is the biggest and most liked freeski event in Finland.
This year the “competition” formats were “5 shots roulette” and “Banked Team Race”. Idea in the Roulette was to spin the wheel and do the trick you got from it. Wheel included near 50 different tricks in many different sections. Old School Tricks, Hot Tricks, Legendary Tricks (like Martin Misof sw 1080, Boyd Easley hand plant, kangaroo flip etc), you name it!
Second day was about team work. Riders made 2-4 people teams. They got points from time, costume, show and tricks. We saw everything from fireworks to naked riders so team were really pushing it!
